World's Best Sommelier 2010 Gerard Basset tastes the wines from the "Les Vignerons du Vallon".
The Aveyron, which has been known not only for its tranquil beauty as an area, but also for its gastronomy, cutlery and glove making, can now also be proud of its AOC Marcillac wines.
During Vinisud 2014 in Montpellier, we were privileged and honoured to welcome Master of Wine and Worlds best Sommelier 2010, Gerard Basset, to taste our wines and give his views.
Although living and working in England, where he owns and runs the Terravina Hotel in Hampshire, Gerrard is still very French in his attitude. A sommelier of great talent and humility, Gerrard is nevertheless an approachable expert and spent some time tasting our wines. He particularly appreciated our ‘Red Les Crestes 2012’ and our ‘Rose Cuvee Tradition 2013’
