Our AOC Marcillac Wines

La Cuvée Tradition Rouge: Comes from our young A.O.C. vines.

A lively and crispy rosé with fruity aromas of ripe strawberries and raspberries.

La Cuvée Réservée originates from low yield vines of at least 15 years, growing on well exposed slopes.

Rigorous plot sélection on the Crestes terroir, in Valady. The vines are trained on terraces of “rougier” soil.

Domaine de Ladrecht comes from a selected plot in M Gombert’s vineyard in Valady. The vines are grown in terraces on south-eastern slopes under the plateau of Cassagnes-Comtaux with a beautiful soil composed of clay and limestone.

Les Cayla originates from a selection of vines growing in a limestone terroir, and trained on terraces facing due south.

Age of vines: minimum 20 years, cultivated on southern slopes.
Its maturation in French oak barrels of 225 and 500 litres gives this wine an interesting and aromatic complexity.

2011 was an exceptional year with a sunny spring, turbulent summer and a hot, dry autumn. These are the ingredients that characterise a great year for the Mansois grape variety in Marcillac.
Add to this the low yield of 30hl/ha, hand-picking and rigorous sorting, and the result is a cuvee that is rich in colour with spicy and mature black fruit aromas. This is an exceptional wine from a great year.
